Sand castings are made by pouring molten metal into a mold cavity formed by sand. A cavity is formed in the sand by using a pattern made from wood or metal. This cavity is contained in an aggregate housed in a box called the flask. The core is a sand shape that is inserted into the mold to produce the internal features of the part. Some benefits to aluminum sand casting are:

1. Resin sand mold
2. Green sand mold

Resin sand mold casting allows for greater precision on dimensions and can be cast for parts requireing thinner dimensions but the cost is higher than that of green sand mold casting parts. We can produce aluminum material of ASTM grade 356, A356, 13, 360, 319 and more. Castings can be made with weights from 100g-30kgs and with lengths up to 1200mm. The casting can be heat-treated to improve strength and can be machined with a dimensional tolerance up to ± .005 ".
